SOPHIE KRAMER takes risk for a living and fights crime for professional and personal reasons. She is a tough-minded Special FBI Agent who loves to live on edge.

Amy Kramer, five-year old daughter of a wealthy Indian businessman and his American wife have gone missing in New Delhi. The Indian police suspects kidnapping but no clues have been unearthed and no ransom demand is received.

In an unprecedented step, the US ambassador to India approaches his friends in Congress and brings undue political pressure on the FBI to engage. Special FBI Agent, Sophie Kramer is assigned to the case and she arrives in India to find Amy. The ambassador objects to the appointment of a female agent and demands a male agent shall be assigned. The FBI refuses and overrides the ambassador's objections.

The ambassador begins interfering by taking his own initiatives that undermines Agent Kramer's investigation. The ambassador means well but his continuing interference makes Sophie's job even tougher. Sophie suspects the Ambassador has his own agenda and hasn't disclosed the whole truth about his involvement to the FBI.

Sophie begins to put together clues about the ambassador's increasing involvement when she discovers that Amy's parents are on the verge of divorce and have deep problems. There are indications that the American mother may have been involved in abducting her own daughter to secretly remove her from India and take her to the States.

As she starts questioning Amy's mother, event lead Sophie to believe that Amy's Indian grandparents have immense disliking to Amy's mother and may have been involved in approaching the corrupt Indian police in organizing disappearance of Amy.

Sophie approaches the local police and warned by the Chief of Police not to trust the police and work on her own. A junior police officer feels compelled to help Sophie and started supporting her investigation in a clandestine fashion. This backfires and it spells disaster for both of them.

Her investigation leads her to Ali Khan, a notorious and ruthless gang leader who happen to be well connected with the senior politicians of the Indian government. Also, he owns and operates a Gandhi Memorial Centre that is supported and funded by influential industrialists and politicians.

Then an unexpected chain of events put her face to face with an aristocratic family of Rajasthan. With their support Sophie discovers the ugly truth about child prostitution in India that is controlled by the underworld and protected by both the police and politicians.

Sophie is now a target and there is an attempt on her life. She barely escapes with her life but her trusted driver wasn't so lucky. Sophie discovers that it is a matter of days before Amy disappears into the deep and dark world of child prostitution. She is forced to take risks and expose those who are behind Amy's abduction. But odds are not in her favor.

Sophie comes up with a plan of attack where plan is to attack. She has no choice but to confront the leaders of the underworld. She knows she is walking into a death trap but there is no other alternative open to her.

Will the ambassador come clean and assist the FBI? Will Sophie and Amy perish due to hastily put together plan? Will Amy's family ever get to see Amy again? Will Amy's parents' marriage survive the chasm that became even wider when Amy disappeared? Answers to these questions are revealed by what Sophie does next.
